igniteXL has launched a Silicone valley-based new beauty technology acceleration program in collaboration with Draper University, named SVBeautyTech.
Managed by Claire Chang, Founder and Managing Director of accelerator and seed fund igniteXL, the program is offering mentorship to high potential early startups that have ‘unique and disruptive ideas on how to innovate in the beauty industry.’
Nine startups, including BeautyVise, CosmeHunt and Madam Indigo, are participating in the inaugural three-week program, which runs until July 12th.
Chang stated, “Technology today is upending the $440 billion global beauty industry. It is a very exciting time for the beautytech ecosystem and I am thrilled to launch the SVBeautyTech acceleration program in partnership with Draper University.
“We are giving this select group of startups access to an immersive custom-designed beautytech program, including individual pitch coaching by SV’s legendary VC Tim Draper, an exclusive private session with Michelle Phan, Co-Founder of IPSY, as well as access to a vast network of early stage investors.”
Tim Draper from Draper University said, “Emerging technologies like blockchain and machine learning are revolutionizing the way all business and industries operate. Draper U and IgniteXL are leading the charge through the SVBeautyTech program, creating companies around the world that are pushing the industry forward. I am excited to see what these entrepreneurs will be able to learn in their three weeks here.”
